The Rules of The Mini PB Process

Age to Participate

• How old do you have to be to submit an idea: 11-25 yrs old
• How old do you have to be to vote: 11-25 yrs old

Idea Eligibility

To be eligible:

• Donations cannot be made to 501c4 organizations
• Money must be spent by December 15 2023
• Ideas must be for 1-time funding (cannot spin off into new programs, work areas or new staffing)

Goals of process

• Develop new relationships between youth and PB
• Support more representation of indigenous, black & brown, as well as queer youth in local government
• Engage & highlight all backgrounds & perspectives in this PB process
• Inform youth about PB & how to get involved
• Engage youth through a variety of avenues including different tools & platforms
• Support efforts to remove barriers to participation that people with disabilities may experience such as transportation
• Promote language equity by using simple, clear language
